United Way’s Day of Caring

Dear United Way Supporters,

On Thursday, April 10, you and your coworkers can experience one of the most rewarding days of the year by forming a team to participate in the 2025 Day of Caring in Highlands County!

What is the Day of Caring? This is an opportunity for local residents to make a hands-on impact with United Way partner agencies and see how your United Way contributions are being invested. Small and large teams will help United Way partner agencies and other incredible not-for-profit organizations perform tasks they might not otherwise have the manpower to accomplish. These tasks may include beautifying landscapes or improving facilities. So come dressed to get dirty.

Before the Day of Caring event, t-shirts will be distributed to each team member and this year’s event will be at Hands for Homeless.

Teams are scheduled to work from 8:30-11:30 a.m.

United Way would like to provide lunch at Buttonwood Bay after the event for the volunteers. Confirmation and details of this lunch will be shared once we have more information.

To sign up to participate in this event, please send an email to Don Kesterson with your name and t-shirt size. All responses need to be received no later than Thursday, March 20 by close of business.

The Day of Caring is a huge success in Highlands County because of volunteers like you. We look forward to having you join us on APRIL 10. This will be a day to meet new friends, make new memories, and have a real impact on our community!
