Former Trustee Honored and Employee Retires at October Meeting

Mr. Tim Backer was honored for his service to South Florida State College (SFSC) at the October District Board of Trustees meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 23. Mr. Backer served as a trustee for SFSC from 2009 to 2024. We are grateful to him for all he has done for SFSC, and we hope to see him throughout our community.

At that same meeting, Piedad Sarmiento-Noriega, curriculum support assistant, was recognized for her 12 years of service to SFSC and celebrated for her retirement. We hope she enjoys being retired and will come back to visit soon.
