Nominations for Meritorious Service Awards

Dear Colleagues,

As we progress toward the end of 2024, we are seeking nominations for this year’s Meritorious Service Awards. It is time to recognize and reward those who made a difference in the success and satisfaction of our students and community. The vice presidents and I would like to request your assistance in choosing this year’s award winners.

Please send your nomination to Ashley Bennett in the President’s Office by noon on Wednesday, Oct. 22 using this form and include a description of why you think the nominee is deserving of the award. There should be one nominee per each form and the forms can be emailed, dropped off, or delivered to the President’s Office through interoffice mail. A list of all employees and their employment categories is provided to aid in this process. Even if an employee won an award in the past, if they are still exemplifying the dedication and effort worthy of the award, please nominate them.

During the SFSC Holiday Luncheon on Tuesday, Dec. 10, the Meritorious Award winners will be named and all nominees will be listed on the event’s program.

The categories for the Meritorious Service Awards are as follows:

  • Outstanding Full-Time Career Service Employee
  • Outstanding Part-Time Employee
  • Outstanding Professional Employee
  • The Lynn MacNeill Outstanding Full-Time Faculty Member
  • Outstanding Adjunct Faculty Member
  • Outstanding Administrator
  • Outstanding Community Volunteer
  • Panther Spirit Award
  • Employee of the Year

Along with the recognition, honorees will receive a monetary award. Full-time faculty awardees will also be nominated for the Excellence Awards of the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) and invited to attend the International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence in Austin, Texas, May 24-27, 2025.

Thank you for your assistance in recognizing your colleagues for their commitment to SFSC, its family, its community, and its mission.
