A Message from President Hawkins

I hope you are having a great start to the summer term. In our continued effort to ensure that every student has the best college experience across our entire service district, several organizational changes will take place beginning July 1, 2024, at our off-campus instructional sites in DeSoto, Hardee, and Lake Placid.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Asena Mott to a new position as dean of off-campus instructional sites (OCIS). Additional changes include the establishment of a coordinator of OCIS position for each of the centers to support the dean and the operations at each. The responsibilities of the coordinator position include student advising and leading the team at each site to enhance student attainment. Asena Mott will work with the coordinators to maintain continuity across campuses and implement best practices for students.

The office manager and director positions at DeSoto and Lake Placid will dissolve, as of the end of this fiscal year. Our Hardee site will not be affected quite yet, as we work through changes at the first two off-campus sites.
