REMINDER: Construction Project on the Highlands Campus

On Monday, May 13, the Asset Roofing and Construction Group will commence construction on the Highlands Campus gymnasium. The exterior of this building was severely damaged by hail stones back in April 2022.

What is the new vision/plan for the gym? First, we will be repairing and texturing all the metal panels to give the building a stucco look. Second, we will be applying fluted brick to the northeast wall to match the three other existing sides. Finally, the entire building will be repainted to emulate all the existing buildings on the Highlands Campus.

How will this impact me? The parking lot area (red on the map below) adjacent to building C-2, F, and the gym will be shut down and turned into a construction/material laydown area. The courtyard between Building B and the gym will also have restricted access. Although the gym will not be closed during the construction, the only access to the facility will be through the north main entrance doors. All other doors will remain locked. It is estimated that the construction timeframe will be in the range of 5-6 weeks.
