On Friday, April 19, 2024, South Florida State College (SFSC) employees can experience one of the most rewarding days of the year by helping to form a team to participate in the “2024 Day of Caring in Highlands County.”
What is the Day of Caring? This is an opportunity for residents to make a hands-on impact with United Way partner agencies and see how their United Way contributions are being invested. Small and large teams will help United Way partner agencies and other incredible not-for-profit organizations perform tasks they might not otherwise have the manpower to accomplish. These tasks may include beautifying landscapes or improving facilities.
Teams are scheduled to work from 8:30-11:30 a.m.
United Way would like to provide lunch at Buttonwood Bay after the event for the volunteers. Confirmation and details of this lunch will be shared once we have more information.
Day of Caring is a huge success in Highlands County because of volunteers like you and the businesses that allow their employees to take the morning off to participate without penalty. We look forward to joining you on April 19.
This will be a day to meet new friends, make new memories, and have a real impact on our community!
To participate, you must sign up no later than March 26 by either calling 863-784-7336 or emailing Donald.Kesterson@southflorida.edu. When you call or email, please provide your name and t-shirt size.
Thank you for all your wonderful community support.
