Farmworker Career Development Program
The Farmworker Career Development Program is a federally funded program assisting seasonal or migrant farmworkers or their dependents. The purpose of this program is to help farmworkers and their dependents attain a high-wage high-demand career and eventually set participants into self-sufficiency. |
Eligibility:
- Seasonal
- Dairy
- Nursery
- Packing House
- Cattle
- Crops
- Migrant = someone whose agricultural labor requires travel to a job site such that the farmworker is unable to return to a permanent place of residence within the same day
- If a family travels to a different state throughout the year, this is considered migrant work.
- At least 50% of income needs to come from farmwork
- If an individual is a farmworker and receives food stamps, they are automatically eligible for assistance.

Assistance in everything that financial aid does not provide:
- Stipends ($2 for every hour a participant attends class for up to 60 hours)
