Athletics Update, Sept. 5, 2023

Cross Country

On Friday, Sept. 1, the Lady Panther Cross Country team edged Central Florida in the two-year division and finished fifth overall at the Florida Southern Mocs Kickoff in Lakeland.

The Panthers were paced by freshman Alexis Camacho Ramirez who ran a team-best of 17:59.

Next up for the Panthers is Friday, Sept. 15 when they will participate in the Keiser Flagship Invitational in West Palm Beach with a 6:45 p.m. meet time.

Volleyball

On Friday, Sept. 1, the Lady Panther Volleyball team won their opening match of the year against St. Petersburg College. The Panthers moved to 1-0 in the Sun Lakes Conference with the 3-2 victory.

On Saturday, Sept. 2, the Panthers were back on the road in Bradenton dropping a Sun Lakes Conference match to State College of Florida, 0-3.

Next up for the Panthers (1-1) is their first home match of the year today, Wednesday, Sept. 6 against Palm Beach State College at 6 p.m.
