Blood Drive: Big Red Bus at the Highlands Campus on March 28 and 29

The OneBlood bloodmobile will be on the circle near the Tower of Enlightenment on the Highlands Campus on Tuesday, March 28 and Wednesday, March 29, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. All blood donors will receive a $20 e-gift card and OneBlood Giving Your Best Life t-shirt. Also, donors receive a wellness checkup, including blood pressure, temperature, iron count, pulse, and cholesterol screening. ID is required for the blood donation and screening. Walk-ins are welcome.

According to OneBlood, these are only a few of the many reasons to donate blood:

• Blood is needed every two seconds.
• A single car accident victim can require 100 pints of blood.
• Approximately 41,000 units of blood are used each day in the United States.
• Since blood cannot be synthetically made, there is no substitute.
