The OneBlood bloodmobile will be at the Health and Science Education Center on the Highlands Campus on Monday, Aug. 30 and Tuesday, Aug. 31, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. All blood donors will receive a OneBlood towel and a $20 e-gift card. Also, donors receive a wellness checkup, including blood pressure, temperature, iron count, pulse, and cholesterol screening. ID is required for screening. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are encouraged. To make an appointment, visit DONATE Aug. 30 or DONATE Aug. 31. Appointments must be made at least 12 hours in advance.

  • About one in seven people entering a hospital will need blood.
  • Approximately 41,000 units of blood are used each day in the United States.
  • Since blood cannot be synthetically made, there is no substitute
