SFSC welcomes two new members to the College’s family: Teresa B. Vorous and Dr. Mark J. Bukowski.
Teresa joined the College on Aug. 16 as controller. She served as controller at Polk State College in Winter Haven, Fla. for 21 years. Previously, she was the assistant controller at Webber International University in Babson Park, Fla. Early in her career, she served in the U.S. Navy with the Nuclear Weapons Training Group Atlantic as an electrician’s mate in Norfolk, Va. She went on to become procurement specialist with the Military Sealift Command in Norfolk. She was raised in Lake Wales, Fla. and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting) from Webber International University. Teresa and her husband, Ron, have three children – Brenda, Christopher, and Phillip – and three grandchildren – Marla, Hannah, and Oliver.
Mark joined SFSC on Aug. 16 as dean of student services. Prior to coming to the College, he was dean of students and student ombudsperson from 2015-2021 and director of admissions from 2013-2015 at Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers, Fla. Previously, he was director of admissions, student rights and responsibilities, and student ombudsman at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Flagler College, a Master of Public Administration from Hodges University, a graduate certificate in College Student Affairs from Nova Southeastern University, and he was awarded a Ph.D. from Nova Southeastern University in Conflict Analysis and Resolution with a concentration in College Student Affairs. Mark is originally from Reading, Pa. He and his wife, Raegann, have two children – Hannah and Trenton. He avidly follows the Philadelphia Eagles and the Tampa Bay Rays. He and his family enjoy fishing and visiting state parks to camp, hike the trails, and fish.
